About
At Peaceful Family Oklahoma, we have always been guided by the voices of the community. From the beginning, we have listened closely to children, families, educators, and behavioral health professionals to develop meaningful and lasting solutions. This community-driven foundation continues to shape our work, helping us ensure our programs remain responsive, relational, and relevant.
In 2022, we expanded our impact by launching a school-based program. This growth allowed us to reach more students and confirmed what we had long believed: that schools across Oklahoma are eager for trusted, evidence-based support for children impacted by addiction

Schools
Nearly 1 in 4 children have a family member with a drug or alcohol addiction, also called a substance use disorder. Without help, children impacted by a family member's substance use disorder are 8 times more likely to struggle with addiction themselves.
Through PFO's School Programs, all participating students will learn the skills needed to build a healthy future and prevent addiction.
Young Child: Grades PK-2
Children's: Grades 3-5/6
Secondary: Grades 6-12

Communities
Peaceful Family Oklahoma’s Community Initiatives are in development to help schools, churches, and youth-serving organizations become safer, more supportive spaces for children impacted by addiction in their families. Thanks to a grant from the Telligen Community Initiative, our initial focus is in Canadian County.
We're always happy to connect with others who are interested in bringing this kind of trauma-informed support to their own community.
