Oklahoma City, OK August 16, 2024 – The Oklahoma County Medical Society Alliance (OCMSA) is proud to announce the 2024 Kitchen Tour, a beloved fall tradition returning on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This year, the tour will benefit Peaceful Family Oklahoma, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children impacted by family addiction.

Established in 1991, the Kitchen Tour has become a staple in the Oklahoma City community, bringing together thousands of visitors each year to explore some of the most stunning homes in the area. With over 160 homes featured to date, the tour offers more than just a glimpse into beautifully designed kitchens—it provides a unique opportunity to support local nonprofits that contribute to the health and well-being of Oklahomans. To date, the event has raised more than $830,000 for various health-related causes, thanks to the generosity of sponsors, volunteers, and community members.

This year’s beneficiary, Peaceful Family Oklahoma, plays a critical role in the lives of children affected by family addiction. With around 250,000 children in Oklahoma impacted by this issue, Peaceful Family Oklahoma provides essential programs that help these children develop resilience, understand addiction, and break the cycle of substance abuse. The organization’s mission is to bring help, hope, and healing to these vulnerable children, offering them the tools and support they need to thrive.

"Did you know that one in four children is impacted by addiction in their families? Without intervention, these children are eight times more likely to struggle with addiction themselves," said Lisa Reed, President & Executive Director at Peaceful Family Oklahoma. "PFO is proud to be the only nonprofit dedicated to healing for the 250,000 children affected by addiction in Oklahoma. Our trailblazing efforts have positioned us as one of the only organizations of its kind in the nation."

The Kitchen Tour is more than just an event—it’s a community effort that requires around 20,000 volunteer hours each year. Table designers and local businesses all contribute to the success of the tour, making it a true celebration of community spirit.

“Alliance members strive to make Oklahoma City a healthier community, and our annual Alliance Kitchen Tour is such a fun way for us to raise funds for local non-profits. We are thrilled to support Peaceful Family Oklahoma, ITN Central Oklahoma and Alliance community service projects with our 2024 event,"  says Margo Ward, 2024 Kitchen Tour Chair. "We hope you will join us, come enjoy the tour, and help us financially support these nonprofits and the important work they do.”

Attendees will not only enjoy breathtaking home designs but also play a part in supporting the vital work of Peaceful Family Oklahoma.

Tickets for the 2024 Kitchen Tour will be available soon, with sponsorship and advertising opportunities currently open. All proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting Peaceful Family Oklahoma’s programs, ensuring that children in Oklahoma have access to the care and support they need to build a brighter future.
